We of the Philosophy family regret to announce the passage into the great beyond of one of the very committed members of the Philosophy Family in Nigeria—renowned Prof. Andrew Efemini of the University of Port Harcourt. Just last week, he was elected Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Port Harcourt, in an extraordinary Senate meeting. It is a huge loss to Philosophy in Nigeria. Two months ago, he led the NUC delegation on Accreditation of the Philosophy Programme in the Federal University of Lafia. That Department now has full accreditation.
